Central Air

Central air units distribute cool air throughout your home via your existing ductwork and registers. Shafer's Heating and Air Conditioning is a factory authorized dealer of Carrier A/C systems, and is NATE certified to service and maintain all major brands of central air conditioning units.

Ductless Air

Ductless mini-split air conditioners are comprised of an outdoor compressor and indoor air-handling units that are connected by a small conduit. Their small size and ability to cool individual zones make Mini-splits a good choice for room additions, apartments, and other areas where ductwork isn't an option.

High Velocity Air Conditioning

High-velocity air conditioning is a central air conditioning system that utilizes flexible round ducts that can easily slide behind existing walls, snake between joists, and stay out of sight without having to add bulky ductwork and bulkheads to conceal them. Shafer’s Heating and Air Conditioning is an authorized Unico and Spacepak installer.

About Ductless Units

Heat Pumps

Similar to an air conditioner, heat pumps circulate a refrigerant through coils and a compressor to move thermal energy from one area to another. A heat pump consists of an outdoor unit and an indoor unit. A reversing valve allows the heat pump to reverse the refrigerant cycle, cooling your home in the summer, and heating your home in the winter.
