At Shafer’s Heating & Air Conditioning, we believe a strong community is built one celebration at a time. That is why we were honored to sponsor the first ever World Down Syndrome Day Dance Party, hosted by the Down Syndrome Association of Pittsburgh right here in Kittanning.
The event was held on March 22, 2026 at 3:00 PM at the banquet hall at the Belmont Complex in Kittanning. It was a free celebration honoring individuals with Down Syndrome and their families, giving neighbors across the area a chance to gather, dance, and take part in a day centered on belonging and genetic diversity.
The dance party followed World Down Syndrome Day, observed each year on March 21 in recognition of the chromosomal difference the date represents. As the first event of its kind held in Kittanning, it gave Shafer’s a meaningful opportunity to stand behind our neighbors and the organizations that support them. Supporting events like this is part of what it means to be a neighbor, not just a business. Our team takes the same pride in showing up for the people of Armstrong, Allegheny, Butler, Indiana, and Westmoreland County that we bring to every furnace repair and cooling installation we complete.
